An energetic and savvy businesswoman with a wealth of expertise and experience in Tourism, Real Estate, Luxury Accommodations, Business Development and Marketing, Janine has an innate ability to connect people and create opportunities for win-win collaborations and business success in professional and commercial spaces.
As a Business Executive with the premier property development company Sunset Homes for over 25 years, she played a pivotal role in launching start-up operations and business frameworks for multiple tourism-hospitality projects on island. Janine continues to provide professional management leadership and oversight to the “2025 Best Small and Boutique Hotel in the Caribbean” Trip Advisor award-winning boutique hotel Tranquility Beach Anguilla on Meads Bay Beach and a number of SMEs and luxury vacation villas in Anguilla.
Founder and CEO of JanineConnects.com, Janine specializes in providing best practices guidance and consultancy to investors, developers, hospitality enterprises and SMEs. Janine pivots from a bedrock of hands-on practical business leadership in launching and operating multiple thriving businesses and leverages her large professional network and goodwill, to bring valuable insight and connectivity for business launches, project development and hospitality operations.
Janine is passionate about non-profit activism and giving back. She carves time and energy to curate and deliver Master Classes and mentor entrepreneurs, SMEs, non-profits, community organizations and individuals to help leverage them to accomplish their goals. A Chartered Corporate Director with a Masters of Business Administration from Toronto’s York University, she generously shares her time and talents with her community, and has served on multiple boards and committees on island and beyond. In 2021, she co-coordinated the island’s first international orchestra event and visit, welcoming the 40-member World Doctors Orchestra, conducted by Artistic Director Stefan Willich and featuring Grammy award-winning pianist and composer Emily Bear. Janine also serves as the voice and moderator for the Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association’s weekly Radio Anguilla show, ‘Tourism is Key’. Janine is the Co-host and a core member of the local organising committee of The Anguilla Culinary Experience, the island’s only destination-wide culinary festival in Anguilla now into its fifth year.
Janine strives to add meaningful value and dynamic colour to her professional and community-building pursuits on her journey of life-long engaging and connecting.

Janine Edwards is a dynamic business executive who plays a pivotal role the in for marketing and administration at Sunset Homes, Tranquility Beach Anguilla, and Spyglass Hill Villa. A Montserrat native, Janine studied Tourism Management at the University of the West Indies, which was followed by a MBA at York University, Toronto Canada.
Janine’s career spans decades in the tourism industry, where she specialized in product development, marketing, and luxury accommodations including, most recently, developing and launching a luxury boutique hotel. Her accomplishments encompass many different fields, including Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Public Relations, Public Speaking, and Journalism.
Janine’s non-profit career has been just as impressive, with significant contributions in the fields of youth, education, and vulnerable populations. In addition, she is a Chartered Corporate Director with experience serving on numerous boards, committees, and NGOs in Anguilla and the Caribbean related to tourism, education, and other community causes.
She currently hosts Tourism is Key, a weekly programme on Radio Anguilla – produced by the Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association. In addition to highlighting local businesses and stakeholders, the show brings awareness to Tourism-related issues, with the intention of underlining the importance of Tourism to Anguilla.
Janine received several honours and accolades over the years in the realms of Business, Tourism and Community and continues to pursue a path of lifelong training and learning in exploring and developing varied personal and professional interests and talents.
